The science behind the product:
Melatonin supports the central clock function
Interestingly, almost all cells in your body have their own circadian rhythm. The cellular circadian rhythm is also known as the peripheral circadian clock. Its pace is being set by the central circadian rhythm because it regulates your sleep-wake cycles [1].
Melatonin is known as the sleep hormone because it helps ensure that the central clock is properly regulating sleep-wake cycles. It is produced naturally in your pineal gland, primarily when you are asleep [10].
The central clock, in turn, aligns the peripheral clock which thereby also supports whole body health. When melatonin output is inadequate, it can result in sleep trouble.
Nobiletin for healthy peripheral circadian rhythms
Nobiletin (a polymethoxylated flavone) is a compound which has been derived from the peel of young citrus fruits. Nobiletin is an interesting compound in relation to circadian rhythm support because it activates a unique set of bodily regulators.
It has also been shown to offer antioxidant protection to brain cells which promotes brain health. Furthermore, it also has also shown to promote a healthy inflammatory response in the body [11].
