Description

Life Extension Super K provides vitamin K1 (phytonadione) together with two forms of vitamin K2: menaquinone-4 (MK-4) and menaquinone-7 (MK-7), the latter produced via bio-fermentation. Vitamin K is involved in calcium balance, affecting both bone mineralisation and vascular calcium regulation via matrix Gla-protein (MGP). According to the manufacturer, individuals taking a vitamin K antagonist medication (e.g. warfarin), anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications, or with a bleeding disorder, should consult their healthcare provider before use.
