Serrapeptase is a combination of serrapeptase and inulin. Serrapeptase is a protease - a protein-splitting enzyme - that is produced by silkworms to break down their cocoons. Due to its protein-splitting properties, it can have an anti-inflammatory and swelling-reducing effect and can be used to treat numerous health problems. It has long been used in Japan and parts of Europe to improve physical health. In addition, the inulin contained is a prebiotic, i.e. an important source of nutrition for the good intestinal inhabitants. Serrapeptase can also support the digestive tract and intestinal health.
