Valerian root extract(Valeriana officinalis): Valerian is full of valuable ingredients. A particularly well-known one is this Valerenic acid, which is also said to be involved in its calming, relaxing effect. In addition, valerian contains various Terpenes, alkaloids and flavonoids, as well as minerals(copper, zinc, manganese) and Amino acids. 

Small amounts were also found in valerian GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), an important messenger substance in the nervous system. GABA inhibits certain stimuli in the brain, which is why it is said to have a calming, anti-anxiety effect.
