Thorne Quercetin Complex combines quercetin phytosome with bromelain in a convenient capsule formula. Each capsule provides 250 mg of quercetin phytosome and 100 mg of bromelain. The current Thorne formulation uses quercetin derived from Sophora japonica combined with sunflower-derived phospholipids. Bromelain is a naturally occurring group of protein-digesting enzymes derived from pineapple.
The phytosome form combines quercetin with phospholipids in a specialised delivery complex. Quercetin is a flavonoid naturally occurring in a wide range of plant foods, while bromelain is an enzyme preparation obtained from the pineapple plant. Quercetin Complex brings these two distinct constituents together in one formula.
