Konjac root, from which glucomannan is derived, has been used as a food ingredient in East Asian cuisine for centuries, most notably in the production of konjac noodles and jellies. As a supplement, the isolated glucomannan fibre is valued for its high water-binding capacity relative to its weight, which is why label instructions for glucomannan products consistently emphasize taking the powder with a generous amount of water.
Suggested Use
Take 1/2 level teaspoon 1 to 2 times daily with at least 8 oz. of water, 30-45 minutes before a meal.
